TERMS AND CONDITIONS


A.    Registration Agreement, Registration Process, and Payment Methods

By registering for the Eighth European Congress of Analytic Philosophy (ECAP8), all participants agree to be bound by, and comply with, these Terms and Conditions. It is the participant's responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions.

All participants must pay the registration fee before 15 August. If you encounter any problem in this sense, please contact us (ecap8@g.unibuc.ro).

 

Registration fees:

Early registration (before 30 July, 2014, 00:00 GMT+3):

  • 80 euros: students (graduate and undergraduate)

  • 160 euros: non-students (permanent faculty, post-doc, teachers).

 

Late registration (after 30 July, 2014):

  • 130 euros: students (graduate and undergraduate)
  • 220 euros: non-students (permanent faculty, post-doc, teachers).

Registration is completed only after receipt of confirmation.

Conference fee includes: registration to the conference, a welcome reception, conference materials including the book of abstracts, refreshments for the coffee breaks, and a farewell buffet..

The conference fee does not include the conference dinner. Registration and payment for the conference dinner will be available as a separate option on the registration website.

Registrants should obtain confirmation from the Local Organizing Committee before committing to other travel arrangements. Accommodation costs are not included in the conference registration fee. Attendees are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements, but we shall recommend hotels and hostels which offer special rates for ECAP 8 participants.

Partcipants are responsible for taking appropriate insurance coverage in connection with their attendance at the ECAP 8. Where the participant is travelling from outside of the host country to attend the conference, appropriate travel insurance should be purchased independently and in advance of any travel or travel bookings.

 

B.     Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of your conference registration will be possible before the following dates by sending an email to ecap8@g.unibuc.ro, and is valid only after receipt of confirmation from the Local Organizing Committee.

Cancellation before 30 July:                                   100% refund of registration fee*

Cancellation between 30 July and 15 August:       50% refund of registration fee*

Cancellation after 15 August:                                  no refund

* Note that the organizers deduct the handling costs of 20 Euros, and all refunds will be made before 20 September.

 


C.    Conference Program

The Local Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend any part of the Conference program if necessary at any time.

D.    Personal Information

Please note that participation contact details will be kept on the ECAP 8 database, which will only be used by the Local Organizing Committee. No credit card information will be recorded or stored.

 

E.    Letter of invitation

The Local Organizing Committee is pleased to assist participants to apply for supporting funds or visas for attending ECAP8, by sending a personal letter of invitation upon request. These invitation letters cannot be considered as an offer of financial support by The Local Organizing Committee. Please mark on the registration form if you need a letter of invitation.

 

F.    Liabilities and insurances

The Local Organizing Committee does not take the responsibility of force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, fires, outbreak of epidemic diseases, major strikes etc.). In force majeure cases, The Local Organizing Committee decides on the possible refunds of the congress fees.
The congress participants should take care of their own travel, injury and medical insurances before the congress trip. The Local Organizing Committee does not assume any liability for damage or injuries to persons or property during the congress.
The Local Organizing Committee will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by delegates or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to their personal property as a result of the Congress or related events.
